Safe & Responsible Play
Our commitment
ABC Interactive N.V., operating under the imperialwins.co.nz brand, regards responsible gaming as a core principle rather than a secondary concern. Gambling is intended solely as a form of entertainment for adults and must never be approached as a means of earning income or resolving financial difficulty. Only persons aged 18 or over may open an account and play. We encourage every player to remain in control of their time and spending, to recognise the signs of harmful play, and to make use of the tools and support services described below whenever needed.
Warning signs
Gambling can shift from a harmless pastime to a harmful habit gradually and without obvious warning. The following behaviours may indicate that play is no longer under control:
- Spending more money or time on gambling than originally intended, or increasing stakes to recapture losses.
- Neglecting work, studies, family responsibilities or personal relationships because of gambling.
- Borrowing money, selling possessions or using funds set aside for essential expenses to continue playing.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when attempting to reduce or stop gambling.
- Hiding the extent of gambling activity from family members or close friends.
- Chasing losses repeatedly in the belief that the next wager will restore what has been lost.
Self-ban options
Players who feel that gambling is becoming difficult to control can exclude themselves from play by contacting our support team by email or Telegram. Self-exclusion can be requested for a set period or on an indefinite basis; during that time we do not accept wagers from the excluded account or send it marketing material.
Control options
Imperial Wins offers control tools that you can activate by contacting our support team by email or Telegram, together with a self-assessment test. The available limits are:
- Deposit limits — a cap on the amount of money that can be added to a player account within a day, week or month.
- Loss limits — a ceiling on the amount a player may lose over a chosen period, after which further play is paused.
- Session limits — a maximum duration for a single, continuous period of play, after which the session is automatically ended.
These limits are not available as self-service settings in the account dashboard; our support team sets them for you on request.
Support resources
Anyone who recognises signs of harmful gambling in themselves or in someone close to them is encouraged to seek help without delay. Free, confidential support is available through:
Gambling Helpline Aotearoa — 0800 654 655 (gamblinghelpline.co.nz)
In addition to professional helplines, anonymous peer support groups exist in many communities for individuals affected by gambling, whether directly or through a family member. These groups typically operate on a self-help basis, offering a confidential space to share experience and support recovery. Local availability can usually be found through a general search or by asking a healthcare provider for guidance.
